Recent trends in healthcare reform and government funding have prompted many social service providers, mental health institutions, and substance abuse facilities to branch out into areas that are beyond their current medical professional appetite. Examples include medical clinics open to general public, FTCA clinics, and providers of certain medical specialties such as gynecology, internal medicine, and dental surgery to name a few.
